How we work
Four steps, no surprises
You know what is happening, when it is happening, and what it costs before anyone picks up a brush.
Visit and written quote
We come out, look at the actual job, talk through colours and finishes, and send you a written price. It is free, and there is no pressure to book.
Protect and prepare
Furniture covered, floors sheeted, edges masked. Then the real work: filling, caulking, sanding and priming. This stage decides whether the finish lasts.
Paint or spray
Quality trade products applied in the right number of coats. For kitchens and joinery we spray, which gives a smoother finish than a brush or roller can.
Walk round and tidy
We clear up, take our rubbish with us, then walk the job with you. If anything needs touching in, we do it before we leave.

Common questions
Things people ask us
In almost every case, yes. Solid wood, wood-veneer, laminated board and metal units all take a sprayed finish very well. Plastic-faced units are the one type to be careful with — they need a specific primer and the right paint system, otherwise the finish will not key properly. If you are not sure what yours are made of, send us a photo and we will tell you.
Doors, drawer fronts and plinths are taken away to be sprayed and cured properly, which normally takes five to seven days. While they are out, we come back to mask up and spray the fixed parts of the kitchen in your home. Refitting happens the same day for a smaller kitchen, or over a day or two for a larger one. You keep the use of your worktops, sink and appliances throughout.
It depends on the size of the job, the condition of the surfaces and the finish you want — so we do not publish a fixed price list, because it would be wrong for most people. Tell us what you are thinking and we will come and give you a written quote free of charge.
Yes. Dust sheets and protective covering go down before anything else happens, we sand with dust extraction where we can, and we tidy at the end of each day rather than only at the end of the job. Our waste leaves with us.
