Interior painting & decorating
The parts of a room people notice are the ones most likely to be rushed: the line where the wall meets the ceiling, the edge of the skirting, the corner behind the radiator.
We prepare properly first — filling cracks and nail holes, caulking gaps along skirting and architrave, sanding back flaking areas and priming bare patches. Only then does the colour go on, in as many coats as the surface actually needs rather than a fixed number.
Before we start we will talk through finishes with you. Matt hides imperfections on older walls, eggshell and satin wipe clean and suit woodwork and busy hallways, and gloss still has its place on doors and frames. If you are unsure, we will tell you what we would use.

Service 02
Exterior painting
Outside work in the North West has one job above all others: keeping water out. Get that right and the appearance looks after itself.
We start by washing down and removing loose or blown material, then treat any organic growth, fill and repair where needed, and prime bare surfaces and rusted metal before coating. Timber gets checked for rot rather than painted over.
We work with the weather rather than against it — exterior coatings need dry surfaces and sensible temperatures to cure, so we will be honest with you if a week looks wrong for it.

Wallpapering & feature walls
Hanging paper well is a different skill from painting, and it is unforgiving — a pattern that drifts by a few millimetres per drop is obvious across a whole wall.
We strip old paper back cleanly, make good the plaster underneath and line the wall where the surface needs it. Patterns are set out before the first drop goes up so the match runs true and the seams fall sensibly around windows, doors and corners.

Good to know
Buy a roll more than you think you need, and check that every roll carries the same batch number — colours drift between print runs, and you cannot fix that afterwards. Tell us the paper you are considering before you order and we will tell you how much to get.

Commercial decorating
For a business, the cost of decorating is rarely the paint — it is the days you cannot trade.
So we plan around you. Evening and weekend work, phased room-by-room schedules, and quick-drying products where a space has to be back in use the next morning. We carry public liability insurance and can provide method statements and risk assessments where your site requires them.

Service 06
Repairs & surface preparation
Paint does not fix a wall — it copies it. Whatever is underneath will show through, and anything loose will take the new coat off with it.
Cracks & holes
Raked out, filled, sanded flush and spot-primed so the repair does not flash through the finish coat.
Flaking & blown paint
Scraped back to a sound edge, feathered in, then stabilised with the right primer for the surface.
Damp & stains
We will tell you honestly if the cause needs fixing first. Old water stains and nicotine get blocked with a stain-blocking primer.
Woodwork
Rotten sections cut out and replaced, knots sealed, grain filled where a glass-smooth finish is wanted.
Caulking
Every gap along skirting, architrave and coving sealed. It is the single biggest difference between a tidy job and a scruffy one.
Plaster patching
Small patches and skim repairs handled in-house rather than waiting on a separate trade.
