Why respray
Most kitchens do not need replacing
If the carcasses are solid, the doors close properly and the worktop is fine — the only real problem is that you have stopped liking the colour. That is a paint problem, not a kitchen problem.
Days, not weeks
A full kitchen replacement can take your kitchen out of action for weeks. With a respray you keep your worktops, sink and appliances the whole time.
Less waste
Perfectly good units stay out of a skip. It is the cheaper option and it happens to be the greener one too.
The process
What actually happens
Start to finish, a typical kitchen takes around a week to ten days.
Survey and colour
We visit, check what your units are made of and what condition they are in, count the doors and drawers, and go through colours and sheen levels with you. You get a written quote afterwards, free.
Removal
On day one we label, remove and take away the doors, drawer fronts and plinths. Your worktops, sink, hob and appliances all stay exactly where they are and remain usable.
Workshop preparation
Degreasing, keying back the existing surface, filling old handle holes if you are changing the style, and a specialist adhesion primer chosen for your material. This is where the durability comes from.
Spraying and curing
Doors are sprayed in a controlled environment — no dust, no brush marks, no roller texture — then left to cure properly. Two-pack paint needs several days to reach full hardness and we do not rush it.
On-site spraying
While your doors cure we come back and mask up your kitchen thoroughly — walls, worktops, floor, appliances — and spray the fixed end panels, frames and cornice in place.
Refit and inspection
Doors go back on, hinges are adjusted so everything sits level and closes cleanly, new handles fitted if you are having them, and we walk the finished kitchen with you before we leave.

Kitchen spraying FAQs
The things people ask us before booking.
In almost every case, yes. Solid wood, wood-veneer, laminated board and metal units all take a sprayed finish very well. Plastic-faced units are the one type to be careful with — without a specific primer and the right paint system the results can be unpredictable. If you are not certain what your units are made of, send us a photo or let us take a look, and we will tell you straight away.

Any colour, and any sheen level you like — from a dead flat matt through eggshell and satin to a full gloss. We can match a shade from any of the main paint ranges, or match something you already have in the room. If you are torn between two, we can spray you a sample to look at in your own light before committing.
We take the doors, drawer fronts and plinths away for around five to seven days so they can be sprayed and cured properly. During that time we come back to mask up and spray the parts of your kitchen that cannot be removed. Refitting is done on the same day for a smaller kitchen, or across one to two days for a larger one. Your worktops, sink and appliances stay usable the whole way through.
A two-pack system, usually shortened to 2K. A hardening agent is mixed into the paint just before spraying, and the two react chemically so the coating cures into a genuinely hard surface instead of simply drying out. That hardness is what lets it survive fingernails, cleaning products, steam and the general daily battering a kitchen takes.
In most cases the difference is substantial, because you are not paying for new carcasses, worktops, appliances or fitting. And you are not limited to keeping things as they are — we can fill and repair the existing handle holes, so you are free to switch from handles to knobs or change the style completely.
Every kitchen is different — the number of doors and drawers, what they are made of, what condition they are in and the finish you want all change the price. That is why we do not publish a single figure: it would be wrong for most people. Tell us what you have and what you want, and we will give you a proper written quote at no cost.
Yes, we offer aftercare. Even the hardest cured finish is not indestructible, and things do get dropped. If you chip or scratch something, give us a call — small damage can normally be repaired in your home, and if it is more serious we will take the affected door away and put it right properly.
